Galaxy S7 edge

Samsung’s much anticipated flagship handsets — the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge — will go on sale across key markets in the world starting from today, including the US, Europe and Korea.

The handsets went up for preorders within a few days of their announcement in most regions of the world as well. Almost everywhere, Samsung is bundling a free Gear VR for customers who preorder the handset.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge sport the same design as their predecessors, but Samsung has added a slight curve to the rear glass panel of the handset to make it less slippery and more ergonomic friendly. The handsets now also feature IP68 certification that makes them dust and water resistant.

Other breakthrough technology included on the Galaxy S7 and its edge sibling is its 12MP rear shooter that comes with a Dual Pixel technology for almost instant autofocus. To prevent any battery life issues, Samsung has included a beefy 3,000mAh and a 3,600mAh non-removable battery on both handsets.

Other launch markets where the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be available from today include Europe, Singapore, and Australia.
