Samsung made the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition official earlier this month, and now the handset is available to buy.
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition with an unlocked variant for $849.99 — available from Best Buy right now. The handset is fully functional with both CDMA and GSM carriers, so it will work on the LTE networks for AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless.
The Olympic Games Limited Edition is similar to the standard Galaxy S7 edge in its specifications, with the major change being the custom design and color scheme. The limited edition variant offers a blue highlight around the camera and flash housings on the back, along with the blue Olympic rings near the bottom of the case. There’s a gold high light around the Home button, as well as the speaker grille above the display. And, finally, the Power button has been themed red, while the volume rocker is green.
The software includes a custom messaging app, and there are specialized wallpapers on board as well. There’s a premium travel case being included with the purchase as well.
As mentioned above, the specs for the newest themed Galaxy S7 edge are the same as the standard version, including a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display that is curved on both its edges, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, IP68 certification, microSD card slot, and a 3600mAh battery. There’s a 12MP camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter on the other side. It’s running Android 6.0 out of the box, and it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood.
