Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S7 Active isn’t official just yet, but that hasn’t stopped the Rumor Mill from churning out expectations anyway.
According to a report from VentureBeat, the specifications for AT&T’s and Samsung’s rugged flagship have leaked, showcasing a device that makes only a few changes from last year’s model. The biggest change is in the battery, with the rumor suggesting the Galaxy S7 Active will boast a 4,000mAh battery — up from the 3500mAh battery in the Galaxy S6 Active.
The Galaxy S7 Active will reportedly feature a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×2560. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood, support for a microSD card, and boasts 4GB of RAM. It will also feature 32GB of built-in storage. The report states that the Galaxy S7 Active will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
The Galaxy S7 Active will boast a 12-megapixel camera on the back, outfitted with a dual pixel sensor that should help with low-light photos. The front-facing camera is said to be a 5MP front-facing shooter.
As far as a launch date goes, it’s expected that the Galaxy S7 Active will land for AT&T’s network on June 10.
