With less than a month to go for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to be unveiled, rumors and leaks around the devices are flowing in fast now. Today’s leak comes courtesy of AnTuTu’s benchmark database where the Galaxy S6 Edge has passed through revealing its complete specs and posting some impressive benchmark scores.
The S6 Edge passed through the benchmark with the model number SM-G925W8 and sporting a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, an Exynos 7420 SoC, an ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage space, a 20MP rear shooter and a 5MP front snapper.
The Exynos 7420 SoC is Samsung’s next-generation Exynos chipset that is apparently based on the 14nm fabrication process. If its benchmark score of 60,798 points are anything to go by — the highest score ever by an Android device — it looks like Samsung made a wise decision to drop Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 CPU in favor of its own Exynos chipset.
Most of the specs of the Galaxy S6 Edge revealed by AnTuTu matches up with the various leaks indicating that it is more than likely that these indeed are the final specs of Samsung’s upcoming flagship.
It looks like the Korean giant has finally woken up and is once again ready to wow the world with the next Galaxy device.
