Unlike HTC and Motorola, Samsung has been pretty mum about its plans of rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its flagship handset — the Galaxy S5.
Today though, according to one of the sources of SamMobile, Samsung plans on updating the Galaxy S5 to Lollipop sometime in December. Keep in mind though that the exact timeframe of the update is not yet known and a worldwide roll-out of the update will easily take more than a month to finish.
If this report does turn out to be true, Samsung might just be able to beat HTC in rolling out the Lollipop update for its flagship handset. The latter has promised to update the One M8 to Android 5.0 within 90 days of Google releasing the source to public.
It was only earlier this month that the first Android 5.0 firmware for the Galaxy S5 leaked its way to the Internet and gave us a glimpse of how Samsung will integrate TouchWiz with the new Material Design language introduced in Android 5.0 Lollipop.
