Samsung GalaxyS10Plus newleak

After the detailed Galaxy S10’s specs sheet leaked yesterday, a new video of the device has surfaced online which gives one an idea of just how big the in-display fingerprint scanner area is going to be on the device.

Various leaks have already pointed to the Galaxy S10 and S10+ coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, today’s leaked video which shows the Galaxy S10 with a screen protector on top reveals just how big the in-display fingerprint scanning area is going to be on the phones.

Unlike the OnePlus 6T and other phones that we have seen launch with an in-display fingerprint scanner, the in-display fingerprint scanning area on the Galaxy S10 series seems to be slightly bigger. That’s definitely great from a usability standpoint as it will ensure that false scans are kept to a minimum.

Samsung is using Qualcomm’s ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10 and S10+. This sensor is apparently better than the in-display sensor being used by Chinese OEMs in their devices as it offers faster and more accurate unlock experience. However, this is something that we will only know once the Galaxy S10 makes its way into the hands of consumers.

Almost everything about the Galaxy S10 series is already known at this point now. Apart from their Infinity-O display, the Galaxy S10 series will feature Samsung’s 8nm Exynos 9820 chipset, offer reverse wireless charging, and an upgraded 10MP selfie camera at the front that will be capable of recording 4K videos. Samsung will also debut a new video stabilization technology with the phones that will allow one to capture super smooth and stable videos.
