Tired of all those Galaxy Tablet S leaks? Samsung has just announced that it is going to hold its ‘Galaxy Premiere’ event on June 12 in New York, where it will be officially unveiling its new series of tablets.
Samsung has not officially confirmed that the launch event is for its new series of tablets, but considering that the invite image itself has the “Tab into color” tagline, this is all but a given.
The specs of the Tablet S have already leaked online confirming the presence of an AMOLED display in the 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch variants. The tablets will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 5422 chipset — an octa-core chip packing four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.9GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores running at 1.3GHz. It will also include an 8MP rear camera, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, an IR blaster, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE connectivity.
Rumors also suggest that Samsung might launch a third tablet with a 13.3-inch display, albeit with an LCD panel. Samsung had announced its Galaxy TabPro and NotePro series of tablets back at CES this year.
