In a strange move, Samsung has announced that it will not be launching the Galaxy Note 5 in the United Kingdom.
Instead, the company will be selling its dual-edge wonder, the Galaxy S6 edge+, in the country. The handset is scheduled to go up for pre-order in the United Kingdom from August 18.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are very similar to each other, except for slight differences in their design and screen. The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a normal flat 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, while the S6 edge+ features a 5.7-inch screen that is curved from both edges. Apart from these differences, both devices are exactly the same under the hood. They both feature an Exynos 7420 chipset, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32/64GB of storage space, and a 3,000mAh battery. They will also feature wireless fast charging, LTE Cat. 9 connectivity, Samsung Pay, and a 16MP rear shooter with F/1.9 aperture and OIS.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, however, will be available in the United States and Canada from August 21.
