Last month, the Korean media revealed that Samsung had managed to ship nearly 4.5 million units of the Galaxy Note 4 in South Korea in the first month of its launch. This was slightly lower than what the Galaxy Note 3 managed in its first month, though the former’s initial launch was marred by build quality issues.
Now, according to Samsung’s Senior Vice President, Kum Hyun-jon, the Galaxy Note 4 is doing great in North America and Western Europe and is outstripping the sales of its predecessor — the Galaxy Note 3.
Hyun-jon further added that he expects the sales of the Galaxy Note 4 to improve in the coming months because of the holiday season in the United States and the expanded availability of the phablet across the globe. For the foreseeable future, the company will focus on maintaining double digits sale for its latest phablet. Sadly, Hyun-jon did not specifically provide any sales number.
Hopefully, the increased demand for the Galaxy Note 4 will be able to stop the rapid decline in Samsung’s market share and profit.
