There are some companies, like Samsung, who still have a soft spot for flip phones, and luckily enough Android is adaptable to fit those needs.
Samsung’s Galaxy Folder is getting a successor, aptly named the Galaxy Folder 2, and the newest Android-based flip phone has just been revealed through a new set of leaked images. Those images were shared via the Chinese social network Weibo, and show a thin clamshell-designed handset that is running Android on board.
The leak also shows off a few key details of the handset, including a 3.8-inch touchscreen, and there’s apparently a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. The Galaxy Folder 2 will feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and a 5MP front-facing camera on the other side. There’s a microSD card slot, and the Galaxy Folder 2 will feature a battery that measures in at 2000mAh.
It’ll reportedly cost about $250 when it launches at some point before the end of 2016, and it will probably only exist in China.
What do you think of the Galaxy Folder 2?
