It has been a bit of time since Samsung officially unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold. And now we know not only when the smartphone launches, but also when reservations for the handset will kick off.
On Thursday, Samsung announced that the Galaxy Fold will launch in the United States on Friday, April 26. When it arrives, it will be available from AT&T, T-Mobile, Best Buy, and Samsung Experience Stores. However, stock is going to be limited, so only a select number of these retail outlets will have any. The handset will still retail for $1,980, so no drop there.
Reservations for your chance to get a Galaxy Fold start on Friday, April 12.

But that’s not all! Samsung also officially announced that the fourth Galaxy S10 variant, the one equipped with 5G connectivity, will launch in May of this year in the U.S. There is no exact date just yet, unfortunately, but at least we know it’s in May. There were previous rumors that suggested Verizon would be the launch carrier for the Galaxy S10 5G, and that it could arrive on May 16.
So, there we have it. The Galaxy Fold arrives later this month, and the Galaxy S10 5G arrives next month. Are you planning on picking up either one of these handsets?
