The yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy Alpha made an official appearance at a Samsung event in Russia, where it happily posted for the camera. Another leak of the handset by a Brazilian site, Tecmundo, has revealed its full specs and price tag.
The leaked specs match up perfectly with what we have heard before, which includes an octa-core Exynos processor, a 4.7-inch 720p display. 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage space, a 12MP rear camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and a paltry 1860mAh battery. The handset will also come with a heart-rate monitor and fingerprint sensor.
According to the Brazilian retailer, the Galaxy Alpha will sport a price tag of R$2, 399, which roughly pegs it at $1048 in US currency.
The Galaxy Alpha is a direct competitor to the next-generation iPhone and will be coming with a metallic body. Sadly though, its will still feature a plastic back as seen on the Galaxy S5. The handset is widely expected to be announced sometime later this week.
