Samsung’s thinnest phone has just crossed through TENNA (a Chinese regulatory body like FCC) revealing its full specs and dimensions. The Galaxy A7 is going to be Samsung’s third device in its new A series of smartphones, which feature a metallic mid frame that greatly help in improving their in-hand feel.
According to TENNA’s listing, the Galaxy A7 is going to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone yet with a waistline of only 6.3mm — which is thinner than the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and even the Galaxy Alpha. The handset will be 150.9mm wide with a height of only 75.9mm.
It will also sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display in the front, and will be powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range octa-core 64-bit chip — the Snapdragon 615 — clocked at 1.5GHz. Other notable specs include 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie focused front camera. The version that has passed through TENNA is meant specifically for the Chinese market, and it is possible that Samsung will make a few adjustments for the international variant of the device.
It is very likely that Samsung will make the Galaxy A7 official in the coming few days (or maybe weeks).
