Alongside the Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Watch, Samsung also gave a glimpse at its new Bixby-powered speaker: the Galaxy Home. The speaker features a very unique design, with a three-leg stand and the top half looking like an inverted Google Home.
The exterior of the speaker has a woven fabric to allow music to pass freely without any distortion. Like the Google Home Max and HomePod, the Galaxy Home will feature voice control, smart home integration, and SoundSteer. The last feature means the Galaxy Home will be able to adjust its sound output depending on where it is placed in a room.
It also features 8 microphones, 8 speakers, a sub-woofer along with tweeters for optimum sound quality and voice recognition. It also features touch controls at the top for controlling music playback. The Galaxy Home will run Bixby and feature Spotify integration to deliver an optimum music listening experience. Spotify will also be Samsung’s new music partner for all its services going forward.
Samsung did not announce a release date or price for the Galaxy Home. It will provide more information about its Bixby smart speaker at its Samsung developer conference later this year.
