Samsung Patent

According to rumors, Samsung could be preparing to launch a new 2K resolution tablet in its backyard. Bearing the model number TM-805, this could well be one of the company’s much awaited AMOLED tablets.

The display resolution is claimed to be 2560 x 1600 pixels, which is the same as on the recently announced Galaxy TabPRO and the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2. For now, only a User Agent Profile for the tablet is available with more information expected in the coming days. In addition to the SM-T805, the SM-T800 and T801 have also been listed which suggests that the Korean manufacturer will launch 3G, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only variants of the tablet. Samsung was expected to announce plenty of tablets this year, so the surfacing of this variant doesn’t come as a surprise to us.

The company has also filed for a new patent, revealing a tablet which appears to have curved margins. Interestingly, the image shows that only the sides are curved, while the display is flat. So this could be an ergonomic feature to ensure the device is held comfortably. Not much is known about this tablet, but since the two leaks have surfaced at almost the same time, it’s natural to assume they’re related. We should know more in the coming days if Samsung has something big under wraps.
