Shortly after a press photo leaked to the Internet, Samsung quickly confirmed the existence of the new Galaxy Round. As expected, the Round features a curved glass display, making it the first smartphone with a full HD AMOLED flexible display to hit the market.
As was hinted in the leaked photo, the Round styling is very similar to the Note 3 with a leather back and stitching accents around the edges. Under the hood, the Round includes a 5.7-inch Full HD Super Flexible AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel camera, a 2,800 mAh battery and Android 4.3.
There’s also a handful of semi-gimmicky extras like the “Roll Effect,” a feature which allows the user to retrieve information by rolling the phone using the curved back. You can see the effect in the video below and browse through a gallery of photos of the device.
