The LG G3 is rumored to launch in May or June this year, if previous reports are anything to go by. Given that this is the company’s first official flagship of the year after the G Pro 2, the stakes are quite high. And it seems like LG will manage to meet expectations as a new leak has now spilled the beans on the camera aspect of this device.
According to a forum post made on Ortud by a user named ‘Geek’, the smartphone will sport a 13 megapixel camera on the back with Optical Image Stabilization or OIS. The sample image (shown above) reveals excellent color reproduction and limited noise. The EXIF data of the picture shows that it was taken from the model “LG D972”, which doesn’t belong to any other LG device at the moment.
It’s no surprise that the LG G3 will be launched in less than a year since its predecessor was shown off, as manufacturers are driving to bring newer devices to the market by shortening the refresh cycle. Sony has openly mentioned that it will refresh its smartphones every six months, and LG might be looking to do the same albeit with a slightly longer wait. What’s your take on the image above? Does it fancy the shutterbug in you?
