Samsung’s third generation Galaxy Note, due to be announced in less than a week on September 4th in Berlin, will allegedly be on Taiwanese store shelves on September 27th according to ePrice. The site says that Samsung Taiwan will start taking pre-orders for the device on the 16th, and while both dates may be moved, any changes would be rather small.
Now I’m happy to report that this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this rumor. A little over a week ago, the guys at SamMobile said the exact same thing about the Note III’s retail availability. When a rumor is corroborated by two different websites, that’s usually a good thing.
What’s known about the Note III thus far? The front panel has leaked, so we know it’ll have microscopically thin bezels. The screen should measure 5.68 inches diagonal and output 1080p. Under the hood you’ll likely find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, 3 GB of RAM, and a 13 MP camera.
As for all the special new features, that will have to wait until the press conference.
