Google Play Music is a wonderful service from the company that allows users to upload their music on the cloud and then stream it on their Android device without any hassle. While the service allows users to have a total of 10 authorized devices in their account, Google is now limiting users from de-authorizing more than 4 devices per year.
Once the user has reached their maximum de-authorisation limit, they will have to wait up to a year to remove more devices from their account. While this might not seem like a big deal for the average joe, this is a big issue for any Android addict (and reviewers) who keeps trying new smartphones every month, since they will hit this limit in no time.
To make matters worse, every new custom ROM install on the same device counts as a separate device in Play Music. This means that ROM maniacs will hit the maximum limit of 10 devices on their account in no time, at which point of time they can only de-authorize four redundant devices from the list.
Google had initially imposed this limit back in 2012, but removed it soon after because of a lot of negative feedback. Chances of the company receiving less flak this time around is pretty bleak with users of most Android communities already using the ‘Feedback’ option in the Play Music app to let the company know what they feel about this move from it.
