Celebrating the occasion of reaching 100 million subscribers, Reliance Jio today announced its new Prime Membership plan in India. Existing and new Jio subscribers can become a Jio Prime member by paying a one-time fee of Rs 99.
Jio Prime members will get access to Jio’s media services and apps for a year — until March 31, 2018 — for free. This includes all of Jio’s apps like JioTV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music, and more Additionally, Jio Prime members can enjoy unlimited data and free calls by paying Rs 303 per month for a year starting April 1, 2017. The 1GB/day limit that was applicable for all Jio subscribers under the ‘Happy New Year’ plan will also continue to be applicable for Jio Prime users opting for the unlimited data pack option.
New and existing Reliance Jio subscribers can register for Jio Prime membership starting from March 1-31, 2017. Post 31st March, you will not be able to register for Jio Prime membership.
If you don’t subscribe to Jio Prime membership by March 31, you will have to recharge your Jio number from April 1, 2018 with any of the data packs offered by the company to be able to use your number. Voice calls will continue to be free on Reliance Jio, but you will have to recharge your phone with a data pack to be able to use the number.
