Reliance today officially revealed the tariffs and commercial launch date of Reliance Jio. The mobile network service has been available in preview offer since the last couple of months to selected devices where Reliance offered free unlimited data, voice calls, and SMS.
Reliance Jio will be offering free voice calls across all its plans to all networks. This also includes calls made while on roaming. Additionally, Reliance will be offering all Jio users access to its Jio suit of applications and content for free until December 31, 2017.
During the AGM meeting, Mukesh Ambani, Managing Director of Reliance, also announced that Jio will offer the cheapest LTE data rates per GB across the world. At Rs 50 for 1GB of LTE data, Jio does offer the cheapest LTE data rate anywhere in the world.
The cheapest Jio prepaid plan starts at Rs 19 that will offer 0.1GB of free LTE data during day time, unlimited voice calls, and SMSs for 1 day. There is also a Rs 299 pack that offers 2GB of free LTE data during day along with unlimited voice calls and SMSs.
The Rs 499 pack plan offers 4GB of free LTE data during day along with unlimited LTE during night. Users will also get access to free JioNet Wi-Fi Hotspot for up to 8GB. This plan also offers unlimited SMSs and voice calls and has a validity of 28 days.

As if these plans were not already good enough, Reliance will also be offering free voice calls, data, and SMSs to all customers until December 31st, 2016 who take a Jio SIM card on or after its commercial launch on September 5th.
Mukesh Ambani also said during the presentation that Reliance plans on offering 1Gbps FTTH connectivity to customers as well.
Getting a Reliance Jio SIM card is now also going to be easier. Anyone with a valid Aadhar card can walk out of a Reliance Digital store with an activated Jio SIM in only 15 mins. For students, Reliance will also be offering additional 25% of free data if they show a valid ID card.
