The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with an impressive dual-camera setup at the rear which includes a 12MP f/1.9 aperture shooter with large 1.4um pixels. Despite an impressive camera setup though, the Redmi Note 6 Pro cannot record 4K videos. Or at least officially.
Just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro though, one can record 4K videos on the Redmi Note 6 Pro as well by using a third-party camera app. The process is pretty simple and as a bonus, one can record 4K videos with EIS enabled as well.
How To Record 4K Videos on Redmi Note 6 Pro
Step 1: Download Open Camera from Google Play on your Redmi Note 6 Pro.
Step 2: Open Open Camera, tap the Settings icon located in the top-left corner. From there, head over to Video Settings -> Video resolution and select Highest: 4K Ultra HD.
Step 3: Now whenever you have to record 4K videos on your Redmi Note 6 Pro, simply use the Open Camera app. Make sure to also enable Video stabilization from under Settings to ensure that the videos you shoot come out relatively smooth.
With large 1.4um pixels and a wide f/1.9 aperture lens, 4K videos from the Redmi Note 6 Pro turn out to be pretty well. In extreme low-light situations though, my recommendation would be to stick to recording Full HD videos as 4K videos can turn out to be very noisy.
