Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi today unveiled the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. The new K-series is Redmi’s budget flagship offering packing impressive specs and features.
Redmi K20 Pro
The K20 Pro is the flagship smartphone featuring a 6.39-inch FHD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display with 600-nit brightness. There’s no notch on the K20 Pro and it features a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio with 2.1mm slim bezels.
The phone features a 3D curved design, with the black variant featuring a kevlar pattern and the blue and red variant featuring a flame pattern.
The 8.8mm thick handset features Snapdragon 855 Mobile chipset running at 2.84GHz, Adreno 640 GPU, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and more. To keep the chipset cool, Xiaomi is using 8 layers of 3D graphite sheet.
The rear of the phone houses a triple camera setup which includes Sony’s 48MP shooter with f/1.75 aperture, 8MP telephoto lens with 1.12um large pixels and f/2.4 aperture, and a 13MP 124.8-degree ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there’s a 20MP f/2.0 pop-up selfie shooter.
The 8th generation in-display fingerprint sensor features 15 percent larger recognition area along with a 3P lens. Overall, this new sensor should be faster and more accurate than previous in-display fingerprint sensors.
There is also a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging that can charge the phone to 58 percent in just 30 minutes.
The Redmi K20 Pro is available in three colors: Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Fiber Black colors. The prices start from RMB 2499 for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage and RMB 2599 for the 6GB/128GB variant.

Alongside the Redmi K20 Pro, the Redmi K20 was also announced. It features largely the same specs as the Pro variant but comes with a slightly weaker Snapdragon 730 chipset running at 2.2GHz and sporting an Adreno 618 GPU.
