While Qualcomm gets plenty of attention for its top-tier chipsets built for high-end flagships, the company has a whole host of mid-range processors for the device class just under the high-end.

And now the company has two new ones. Qualcomm has officially unveiled a pair of new processors built for mid-range smartphones. First up, the Snapdragon 730. This processor is an 8-core chipset, utilizing Kryo 470 cores clocked up to 2.2GHz. The Snapdragon 730 is built upon the 8nm process, and it’s coupled with an Adreno 618 GPU.

Qualcomm outfitted the 730 with a Hexagon 688 processor with a tensor accelerator, and a Spectra 360 computer vision image signal processor. The processor supports Wi-Fi 6, and there is an X15 modem for cellular connectivity.

Qualcomm also built a custom processor gaming-focused devices, called the 730G. This processor has a GPU that’s clocked higher, which Qualcomm says means it can get 15 percent better performance when compared to the Snapdragon 730. The 730G also supports handsets with a 1440p display resolution (the standard 730 only supports displays up to 1080p).

The company is also announcing the Snapdragon 665 this week as well. This is another 8-core processor, but this one’s built on the 11nm process. It’s coupled with an Adreno 610 GPU. It supports handsets with cameras up to 48 megapixels, and handsets that have three cameras on the back.

Qualcomm is planning for the first smartphones with the Snapdragon 730, 730G, and the 665 to ship in the middle of this year.
