Google has started rolling out a new update for the Play Store that includes quite a bunch of welcome improvements and enhancements. Most of the changes are aimed at further refining the Play Store’s visual look.

Firstly, Play Store v5.3.5 brings a slightly new layout for displaying content when you hold your Android smartphone in landscape mode. The new layout does not extend from one edge to another edge of the display and looks much better.

Secondly, the latest version of the Play Store automatically hides the action bar to give the content more display area. As soon as you scroll up though, the bar automatically comes back up.

Additionally, Google has separated the App updates and Apps auto-updated notifications in this version of the Play Store. You can now select whether you want to view notifications for App updates as well as when app are auto-updated, either of them, or none.

Lastly, Google has also added an ‘Update All’ button to the Play Store update notifications thereby allowing you to update your apps right from the notification bar.

Play Store v5.3.5 will be rolled out gradually to Android devices over the next few weeks, but you can always sideload the update by manually installing it from here.
