As one of the early adopters of Pebble smartwatch, it has been great to see the company adding new features. However, one of my grievance has been that the plastic body makes it look cheap, which makes it awkward to wear in certain occasions.

It looks like Pebble is going to address that soon as leaked photos suggest that the company may launch metal versions of the smartwatch with Gorilla glass at CES 2014.

9to5Mac reports that Pebble is expected to launch two versions, one in brushed stainless steel (as you can see in the photo above), and a matte black one (as you can see in the phot below).

The internals of the device are expected to remain the same, though customers will have a choice of metal and leather straps, and will be waterproof like the plastic version.

Few days back, the company announced that it has “something special” up its sleeve and will make the announcement today, 6 January at 11 AM Pacific (2 PM Eastern) at CES 2014.

The Pebble steel smartwatch is expected to be priced at $249.

The metal versions look quite nice. What do you think?
