Whenever Google releases a major new update for Android, custom ROM developers have to go back and port their code to work with the latest version of Android. While forward-porting their code, the developers make sure to take advantage of any new features/APIs introduced by Google or enhance it.

The Paranoid Android team has done something similar with one of their most popular features — Halo. With the new white theme in KitKat, the Paranoid Android went back to the drawing board and has given Halo a very clean and minimalistic approach.

Not only does Halo matches the design line of KitKat, it is also transparent so that it blend in with any app. Sadly, the Paranoid Android team has not released a new build or a teaser video along with their announcement.

Hopefully, they will not keep their users waiting for long and will release a new build with Halo 2.0 sometime soon.
