The Paranoid Android team today released the second beta of PA 4.6 with some major improvements to Dynamic System Bars (DSB) — which was introduced in the previous beta.

In the latest beta, the team has further polished DSB making its animations smoother and faster and reduced the resources required by it by reducing the screen polling rate. Sadly, the PA team says that performance is still not up to the mark especially on low-end devices and that there will still be some unwanted battery drain, though it will not be as bad as on the first beta.

The full change-log of the beta update is as follows:

– Clean up DSB animations
– Reduce DSB screen polling
– Correctly update the lock screen track information
– Improve the general graphical performance
– Update the OPO drivers and add other minor improvements
– Follow CM’s changes for TE
– Add USB OTG support for Flo (Nexus 7 – 2013)
