Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition

Earlier this week, Oppo unveiled the Find X with a unique pop-out camera design. As if the phone was not already unique enough, Oppo will also be launching a Lamborghini edition of the Find X in selected markets.

Priced at 1,699 Euros ($2,000), the Lamborghini edition of the Find X will feature a carbon fiber texture at its rear and carry the Lamborghini logo along with that of Oppo.  The logo has a 3D effect to give a feeling of it popping out when viewed from any angle.

Other specs of this special edition Find X remains the same as the regular variant. This means you get a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, Wi-Fi ac, and a 3,400mAh battery.

Apart from its slightly different rear, a special retail box, and high price tag, the highlight of the Lamborghini edition Find X is its charging speed. While the regular Find X will come with Oppo’s 20W VOOC charger, the Lamborghini edition will feature a 50W VOOC charger which would be capable of charging the device to full in just 30 minutes.

Oppo Super VOOC

While we have seen plenty of fast charging implementations from various OEMs, they are usually limited to 20W due to safety and battery lifespan concerns. However, Oppo seems to have up the ante with is SuperVOOC charging tech on the limited edition Find X. For comparison, other charging technologies in the market are capable of charging a smartphone to around 50-60 percent in 30 minutes. It remains to be seen though what side effects this has on the battery lifespan of the Find X.

With smartphone battery life plateauing and there being no major breakthrough in battery technology, its time OEMs focus on improving the charging speeds like Oppo.
