Oppo has mentioned that the 1080p variant of the recently announced Find 7 handset (known as the Find 7a) will go up for pre-order starting April 7. This is the international model of the smartphone, as the handset is already available in China for a few days already.
This 1080p variant is, of course, vastly different from the other Oppo Find 7 version that packs a 2K resolution display, but the low cost Find 7a is no muck with the specs sheet either. It comes with a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with an expandable microSD slot and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Oppo’s Color OS running on top. Powering the handset is a 2,800 mAh battery.
Oppo has announced that it will reveal three surprises related to this new offering starting March 29th, although it is yet to share details on the official pricing of the smartphone. The Find 7a be sold through Oppo’s global site, so it seems like customers won’t be able to pick one of these up from their local stores when it becomes available.
