OnePlus has started teasing the launch of their next smartphone — the OnePlus X — through Twitter and other social media channels. The handset will be unveiled by the company on October 29th.
The OnePlus X will not be another flagship handset from the company, but instead a mid-range device that will hopefully pack in enough oomph and ‘X’-factor to separate it from offerings from other OEMs.

If the #PowerfullyBeautiful tagline of the teaser post from OnePlus is anything to go by, the X will likely focus on design with decently powerful internals. However, OnePlus is known to overhype their products, so it is always in one’s interest to take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.
Rumors and leaks point towards the OnePlus X coming with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, a MediaTek Helio X10 chip, 2GB RAM, and a 13MP shooter. The handset has already made its way through FCC, which revealed all the bands that will be supported by it.
OnePlus has managed to come up with a couple of interesting products now, so I am pretty sure the OnePlus X will be a decent mid-range handset as well. However, unlike before, I hope that the company actually makes it easier for people to buy their darn products.
