Recently OnePlus confirmed that its upcoming TV will be named OnePlus TV. Now the company has revealed OnePlus TV will launch in September. According to the company, India will be the first country to get OnePlus TV. The launch timeline is in line with an earlier report that hints at OnePlus 7T launch in India in September.

OnePlus says it is banking on the age-old adage that says “content is king.” The company has already partnered with content providers to offer great content for users. It is clear that India is an important market for OnePlus and thus the company is launching the OnePlus TV first in India. Furthermore, the upcoming OnePlus 7T is also expected to arrive a couple of weeks earlier in India as compared to the rest of the world.

Apart from India, the company also talks about expanding OnePlus TV to other markets. OnePlus claims to be working towards launching OnePlus TV in North America, Europe, and China. As of now, they are securing local and regional content partnerships. At this point in time, the company has not revealed any other details about the OnePlus TV. Once launched the TV will go at loggerheads with Mi TV. On the other hand, OnePlus might concentrate on the premium segment and carve a niche for themselves.
