As far as third-part keyboard replacements go, SwiftKey has become one of the most popular options. It’s a free install from the Google Play store that just about any Android owner can pick up when they want, but for OnePlus One owners the option is about to get included in the package.

According to an announcement made by OnePlus on Wednesday, February 4, an incoming update to the One smartphone will integrate the SwiftKey third-party keyboard right into the software. Meaning, after the update is installed, a One owner can head into Settings, then into Languages and Inputs and select the SwiftKey keyboard from right there. No needing to download it from the Google Play store anymore.

We always look to improve user experience by working with partners who share our vision of great products and sensible innovation”, said Helen Li, OnePlus’s chief of mobile product. “SwiftKey improves the keyboard experience for our global user base with support for 81 languages.

OnePlus also noted that this particular update won’t slow down an incoming over the air upgrade of the OnePlus One’s software. So for the One owners out there, the incoming arrival of the SwiftKey keyboard won’t slow down the update that will bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to the handset.
