There’s quite a lot that we know about the OnePlus One, thanks to bits and pieces of information provided by the company over the past several weeks. The manufacturer has now shared one more hardware aspect of the device today with the ‘always listening mic’ feature. This is similar to what we see on the Moto X and will allow users to wake up the device or perform other actions without actually having to hold or unlock the One.
A recent hack revealed that the Nexus 5 was capable of having an active microphone, so it’s no surprise that the OnePlus One would have such a feature in place knowing that the two smartphones feature the same Qualcomm chipset.
As of now, the OnePlus One is known to sport a 5.5 inch 1080p display with the ‘Touch on Lens’ tech, a Snapdragon 800 SoC as well as a 3,100 mAh battery with some customization from the CyanogenMod team to boost battery life. The handset is rumored as a CM based Android 4.4 ROM, although the company hasn’t confirmed it yet.
