For a relatively small company, the folks over at OnePlus have managed to create quite a hype around their product. While their handset — the OnePlus One — lived up to the hype, its availability schedule has been nothing short of a disappointment with “general availability” of the 64GB version planned only for late June. That changes today as the company announced that it will be re-scheduling its production cycle after looking at the demand for the 64GB version.
To quickly get the 64GB version in the hands of the users, the company will be pushing back the production of the 16GB Silk White version. So, instead of a late June availability, OnePlus will be able to provide a larger batch of 64GB Sandstone Black units in late May to early June.
After seeing how popular the 64GB version was compared to the 16GB, we have pushed back the production of the 16GB Silk White in favor of getting the 64GB Sandstone Black out quicker.
Keep in mind that you will still need an invite to get your hands on the OnePlus One, but with an increased availability, getting your hands on one should be relatively easier. If you can not get an invite though, you will have to wait until late June to get the 64GB variant of the OnePlus One.
