OnePlus today announced that it is launching the 16GB Silk White variant of the OnePlus One in India. The company had launched the 64GB Sandstone Black of the handset in the country only a couple of months ago.
Just like the 64GB variant, the 16GB Silk White OnePlus One will also be available in India exclusively through Amazon India. Potential customers will also need an invite to buy the handset, though the invite for the 64GB and the 16GB version remains the same.
OnePlus One comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display from JDI, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, a 13MP rear shooter with F/2.0 aperture, a 5MP front camera, and a 3000mAh sealed battery. The handset runs on CyanogenMod 11S out of the box, and supports the nascent 4G network in India. The only catch is that the Indian version of the handset will not receive any software updates from Cyanogen Inc. due to the Micromax-OnePlus fiasco.
OnePlus has priced the 16GB One at only Rs 18,999, which is Rs 1,000 lower than the handset’s chief competitor — the Xiaomi Mi 4. The handset will be available from Amazon India from February 24th.
