A new leak has revealed the pricing of the OnePlus 7 Pro. The leaked specs had already made it clear that the OnePlus 7 Pro was going to be the company’s most expensive smartphone and the leaked pricing is in line with that.
The middle model of the OnePlus 7 Pro will start from €749 in Europe. This variant will pack 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There will also be a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB storage that will retail for around €819. OnePlus is also going to launch a base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage but its pricing is not yet known. It will likely be priced around €100 lower than the 8GB RAM variant.
At €749, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be notably more expensive than the OnePlus 6T which starts at €549 in Europe. The pricing also puts the OnePlus 7 Pro at par with the Galaxy S10e which starts at €749 in Europe. The iPhone XR is also priced around the same ball park.
Going by previous OnePlus pricing scheme, this means the OnePlus 7 Pro will start at $749 in the United States.
The OnePlus 7 Pro will have the specs to compete with other flagship smartphones and live up to its more expensive price tag. It will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 855 chipset, triple cameras at the back including a 48MP primary camera and an ultra-wide angle shooter, a 4000mAh battery with 30W Wrap Charging, and more. The regular OnePlus 7, in comparison, will see a modest upgrade in specs which includes the switch to a Snapdragon 855 chip and a 48MP rear shooter.
It will be interesting to see how the public responds to the OnePlus 7 Pro pricing. OnePlus has always taken pride in how its smartphones are cheaper than flagship smartphones in the market and give them a run for their money. This time around though, OnePlus is taking on flagships from Samsung and Huawei head on and it won’t have the pricing advantage to make up for its weaknesses.
