With the OnePlus 5T going on launch earlier this week across the world, the company is now focusing on improving the various aspects of the device through a software update.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei announced in a forum post that after receiving the company feedback, the company is working on improving the low-light imaging performance of the 5T, especially in terms of details.

Additionally, the company is working on improving photos from the front camera to have a more natural exposure. Finally, to better cater to consumers taste in various parts of the world, OnePlus will only keep Beautification mode enabled by default in certain markets in Asia.

Below are the changes highlighted by Carl Pei in the upcoming OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 5T:

  1. Improved low light photography, especially when it comes to detail
  2. Improved selfies to have a more natural exposure
  3. Beautification mode only on by default in certain markets in Asia going forward

OnePlus will start testing this software update among a closed group of beta testers from next week and hopes to roll it out to all OnePlus 5T owners by early December.

As for the Oreo update, OnePlus had previously announced that it plans on rolling out a beta build of Android 8.0 for the 5T by the end of December and roll out the final software update in Q1 2018.
