OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T that is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and March security patch.
Despite the bump in Android version to Android 7.1.1, OxygenOS 4.1.0 brings only a handful of minor new features to the table. This includes expanded screenshots and improved picture quality while taking photos of moving objects to reduce blur. Other enhancements and improvements relate to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, improved video stability, and general bug fixes.
The full change log is as follows:
- Upgraded Android 7.1.1
- Updated Google security patch to 1st March 2017
- Added expanded screenshots
- Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction
- Improved video stability when recording
- Improved WiFi connectivity
- Improved Bluetooth connectivity
- General bug fixes
As its the case with OnePlus, the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update will be rolled out incrementally to all OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners over the coming few weeks. When you do get the update on your device, do drop a comment below and let us know what improvements you have noticed in it. Are the improvements to the image quality substantial or are they barely noticeable?
The original Nougat update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T was very buggy, but OnePlus has fixed almost all the bugs with regular software update since the original rollout of the update. Now that the Android 7.1.1 update is out for the OnePlus 3/3T, it is now among the handful of devices in the market to run on the very latest version of Android currently available.
