OnePlus today announced that it will be hosting the first open sale of its ‘2016 flagship killer’, the OnePlus 2, on October 12.
The open sale will only be held for an hour in four different time zones. Every order will be limited to two phones, though there is no restriction on the number of orders you can place.
Below is when you’ll be able to buy the OnePlus 2 in your region on October 12 without an invite:
- Asia: 12:00 – 13:00 HKT
- Europe: 12:00 – 13:00 CEST
- North America: 12:00 – 1:00 pm PDT
- India: 12:00 – 1:00 pm IST
OnePlus notes that since there might be a high demand for the phone, the processing of the order can take longer than usual. Once the order has been placed, you will be given an estimated timeframe within which your OnePlus 2 will ship.
In case you get an invite while your OnePlus 2 order is still being processed, you can cancel the order and use the invite to place another order to avoid any kind of delay.
It has been more than a month since the OnePlus 2 went on sale, but invites for the phone are still difficult to get. This has made many customers lose their interest in the phone. By giving its customers a chance to buy the phone without any invite — even though its only for an hour — the company is basically trying to make sure that such customers don’t end up buying any other smartphone.
