OnePlus today announced a permanent price cut for its 2016 flagship killer — the OnePlus 2 — in India. The price cut will see the handset selling for almost $30 lower than its original price.
The price cut is effective for the 16GB as well as the 64GB variant of the handset.
The 16GB OnePlus 2 has been available for Rs. 22,999 up until now in India, but with the latest price cut, it will now be available for only Rs. 20,999. Similarly, the 64GB OnePlus 2 has been available for Rs. 24,999, but from today onwards it will be available for only Rs. 22,999.
This ain’t a temporary discount, so you can buy the OnePlus 2 at its new discounted price anytime you want.
OnePlus had dropped the price of the OnePlus 2 to $349 in the international market in early-February, so a similar price cut for the handset in India was long overdue.
With many other smartphones from China now overshadowing the OnePlus 2 in terms of popularity and the value for money department in India, it makes sense for the ‘Never Settle’ company to lower the price of the handset to ensure that it remains a relevant option for consumers.
