At CES 2018 today, Nvidia has unveiled Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs). As their name suggests, they are giant gaming monitors that will be made by Acer, ASUS, and HP. How big? 65-inches.

Even better, these displays will come integrated with Nvidia Shield — Android TV, that is — along with the company’s G-Sync technology, and feature 4K resolution with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support. Other notable feature set includes 1000-nit peak brightness and DCI-P3 color gamut support.

The inclusion of Nvidia Shield means that these 65-inch monitors are running Google Assistant and can be controlled using one’s voice. It also features streaming support for Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube, and Hulu.

“PC gamers expect high performance and instant response times, but, until now, they’ve been largely limited to traditional desktop displays,” said Matt Wuebbling, head of GeForce marketing at NVIDIA. “BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA’s latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve.”

Nvidia has essentially made a reference platform that its partners can now take advantage of to launch BFGD of their own. At 65-inches, these displays are primarily meant for the living room and their size and specs allow them to be used either as a gaming monitor or for streaming HD/4K content from the internet.

Nvidia and its partners did not announce any price for their BFGD, with general availability expected to start from this summer.
