On July 22, NVIDIA officially unveiled the Shield Tablet and Gamepad, marking another device within the Shield lineup that offers plenty of gaming potential on a dedicated device.

With the last update that was released, many Shield Tablet owners were complaining that colors looked muted on their tablet. NVIDIA would eventually come forward and confirm that it was a bug found in the software, and that they would be issuing a fix in due time. That day has finally come, as NVIDIA has confirmed hotfix 2.2.1 for the Shield Tablet.

The update is pretty straightforward, with only two bullet points to consider:

  • Display color-space correction
  • Improvements to Netflix experience

The update should be available now for Shield Tablet owners, so if you’ve experienced the same muted color problem, go ahead and download and let us know if it fixes it.
