Nvidia today announced that it has started rolling out the Android 5.1 update for the SHIELD tablet.

The latest version of Lollipop brings improved system performance and stability, an improved display thanks to global tone mapping and an updated firmware for the SHIELD controller. The 200MB OTA update is available for both Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the tablet.

The rollout of the update was announced by Nvidia earlier today, so the OTA update could take up to two weeks to land your SHIELD tablet.
