Nova launcher is one of the most popular launchers on the Play Store and offers a plethora of features and customization options. Today, the developer of the app has pushed a beta update for it that introduces a couple of notable new goodies.

This includes some new app drawer animations (which look totally sick) and app drawer search. The latter is almost a god send for people like us who have more than a couple of hundred apps installed on their devices.

The new app drawer transitions include circle reveal, slide up, zoom and fade. The full change-log of the update is below:

  • Drawer transitions (Circle reveal, slide up, zoom, fade). Settings – Drawer – Transition Animation. Circle reveal not compatible with all devices.
  • App Drawer Search, shows recently installed and updated apps without search query
  • Fix inability to manually changing app drawer icon
  • Fix smalltab horizontal drawer layout
  • Fix app search fc

As mentioned earlier, the update is still in beta so users will have to join the Nova Launcher G+ community and enter its beta program to get the update directly from the Play Store. Alternatively, they can skip this hassle and download the APK from here.
