Nova Launcher 4.3

Nova Launcher 4.3, which was in beta for some time, has been released as a stable version and now hosts a bunch of new goodies. The most significant change made being Night Mode, which changes the theme of certain aspects of the UI to dark and thus, less taxing on the eyes.

Though the concept of the Night Mode is not new, with OnePlus having it in their custom launcher and Android N planning to bring back that feature, it is a nice inclusion. In Nova Launcher’s case, the Night Mode can be automatically enabled or set to a schedule. The search bar, desktop folders and the app drawer are the areas of the UI of the Nova Launcher that are affected by the change.

Another new feature that has been included is the Android N inspired folder style as an option with a host of customisations available to the desktop search bar. These range from changing to the old Google font to customising the widget colour.

Nova Launcher 4.3 also includes minor bug fixes to make the launcher run smoother and faster performance.
