The Nokia X might not be an impressive piece of device but it does come with some applications that other Android users would love to use on their device. This includes Here Maps, Drive and the stock Camera app on the andset.
While the former apps are yet to be ported, developer opssemnik has managed to get the Nokia X camera app to work on other Jelly Bean running Android devices.
Installing the app does not require root access or a custom recovery and is pretty straight forward. The developer has made two variants of the app available — one that should work on all the majority of devices and the other for Moto G, X and other CM11 running devices.
The camera app will also install the accompanying Gallery app with it, as seen on the Nokia X. Compared to the stock Camera app on Android, the Nokia X camera app offers manual control over features like ISO, Noise Reduction, Histogram, Face Detection and more.
On devices with 720p and 1080p screen, the Camera app will not occupy the whole screen because of the difference in resolution, but the developer is working on fixing it. You can download the APK by heading over to this thread on XDA forums.
