Nokia today released the Android version of its HERE Maps app on the Galaxy App Store for all compatible Samsung Galaxy devices.
The company had initially announced its intention to bring HERE Maps to Samsung’s Android and Tizen devices more than a month ago.
HERE Maps is a worthy Google Maps replacement and offers features like turn-by-turn navigation, transit features, traffic updates and most importantly — the ability to download whole maps of a country for offline use, something which Google Maps for Android lacks.
According to Nokia, the app will work on all Galaxy smartphones from Samsung running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher with at least 1GB of RAM. The company has also posted a full step-by-step guide on using the app for beginners on its website as well.
