Following hot on the heels of Nokia and HMD Global announcing the Nokia 7.1 earlier this month, another handset with the Nokia logo is seeing the light of day beginning today.

HMD Global, the manufacturer hard at work on launching Nokia-branded hardware, has just announced its newest device in its growing lineup, the Nokia 3.1. This is a low-end handset, featuring a relatively cheap price tag and less-than-high-end features packed inside. Still, the “HD+” display measures in at 6 inches, and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. There is a MediaTek Helio P22 processor under the hood.

There are two variants of the Nokia 3.1, one with 16GB of built-in storage and 2GB of RAM, while the other offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Both handsets do support a microSD card, though, up to 400GB in size. The battery is a 3500mAh option, and the handset features Android 8.0 Oreo. There is a fingerprint sensor under the dual camera setup on the back, a USB-C port for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

The Nokia 3.1 features two cameras on the back. The primary 13-megapixel camera and a 5MP depth camera. Around front, there is an 8-megapixel camera. This is an Android One handset, which means it has stock Android on board, and it is guaranteed to get two years of software updates from this point on.

Nokia’s newest smartphone launches this month in India, priced at €159 for the 16GB model, and €179 for the 32GB variant. It will be available in Blue, White, and Baltic color options.
