After the announcement of OxygenOS 3.0’s beta Marshmallow update being available for OnePlus 2, users of OnePlus X are now able to update to OxygenOS 2.2.1. This move will help fix flaws in Lollipop and prepare users for the Marshmallow update in the future.
This new update to OxygenOS 2.2.1 brings along with it a host of bug fixes and a security patch update that should have most users satisfied for the time being.
The changes brought about to the OnePlus X by the update are:
- Fix for data leak while roaming experienced in some regions
- Fix for microphone being muted when using Google Hangouts
- Fix for app drawer not launching when google search bar is hidden
- GMS 3.0 upgrade
- APN update to support Tigo carrier
- Security patch update
- General bug fixes and optimisations
However, you would need to manually check for the update via the Settings menu as it is part of an incremental roll-out and will take some time to reach all users.
